The "Rainbow Fish" inspired lots of creativity today.  X placed scales carefully on his fish in art and learned a new word, "overlap".  X and X swam hard as we used our arms and legs like fins.  Everyone was out of breath after we kept our fins lifted and flapping for a count of 30!  X searched through all the "bits and pieces" shapes until she found every line and curve to form her name.  Elise led us in calendar.  She gave some Spring facts and some commentary about the fact that Spring is supposed to be warm, but it is "kinda crummy outside".
