From Elise's school:
Our bark rubbings were rained out but we created some beautiful cherry blossom paintings instead. X was very pleased with her artwork. She went on to greet each new activity with a big smile and a positive attitude. X and X cooperated so nicely to complete all the uppercase and lowercase matching blocks. When X found a match they were having trouble with, X complimented him with a hearty "That's what I'm talkin' about!" X made some creative drawings, including a friendly spider that talks and has a spike on his head. X created a pet shop with the magnets. Everything costs $17. Elise brought a book called "Ok, kids" and read it to the whole class. We also read "The Giving Tree" and discussed what we might ask for if we had own giving trees. X would ask for a wolf puppy! Awesome.
Mom and dad had a date night out. What fun!
Blog 411
This blog was created for our friends and family who don't get to see us -- well, Jonathan and Elise, really -- as often as they'd like. I'm trying to keep you all updated on their milestones and their day-to-day activities. I also hope this will serve as sort of a journal for them as well, something for them to read when they are older that chronologues their lives and adventures. When I can, I'll post pictures and maybe even videos to help bridge the distance.
This blog is Part 2 of the Life of the Hardwicks. This edition will focus on our new lives in Atlanta, GA, that began in July 2013.
